In December, Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB) held two fundraisers to raise money for the Feed All Four Fund, which provides direct assistance to students and families in TLDSB communities who may need a little extra support.
On December 6, the fourth annual Jersey Day took place across TLDSB education centres and schools. The initiative encouraged students and staff to wear their favourite sport, club, or league jersey or t-shirt and donate a toonie, or more, for a Board-wide, community-to-community fundraiser.
The second initiative took place on December 17 at the Lindsay Education Centre. Staff took part in a long-standing tradition of a loonie auction as a fun-filled way to celebrate the upcoming holiday while raising funds to support students.
In total, both initiatives raised a total of $5,362.12 – a much-needed contribution to the Feed All Four Fund. Way to go, TLDSB family!
